We’re Hiring An Early Years Area Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Early Years Area Manager to oversee and support multiple childcare settings across our network. Reporting to the CEO, this role focuses on operational excellence, compliance, team leadership, and delivering high-quality early years care and education.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Development

  • Recruit, train, and supervise childcare staff across multiple locations
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support ongoing professional development
  • Promote a positive, high-performing team culture

Compliance and Operations

  • Ensure full compliance with Tusla and DCEDIY regulations
  • Maintain licences and certifications and conduct regular safety inspections
  • Support Facilities Managers in maintaining safe and compliant environments

Programme and Child Development

  • Implement age-appropriate early years programmes
  • Support children’s physical, emotional, and developmental wellbeing
  • Ensure best practice in behaviour management and child protection

Parent and Community Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with parents and provide regular updates
  • Organise parent meetings and family engagement events
  • Develop connections with local schools and community organisations

Administration and Growth

  • Support enrolment processes and maintain accurate records
  • Manage inventory of educational materials and equipment
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvements based on current research
Person Specification
  • Experience working within a childcare setting is essential
  • Minimum QQI Level 6 qualification or higher
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement
Remuneration and Benefits
  • Salary of €42,000 per annum
